2025 Grant Recipients
The 2025 LGC Grant Cycle is focused on uplifting organizations that are working to bridge the challenges in accessing systems and services for immigrant communities to thrive. At the time that the application window closed, there were more than 50 different organizations applying for funding - an unprecedented amount in LGC history. We believe the high volume of applications speaks to the need in the community during this time of uncertainty.
An unprecedented amount of applicants led to the opportunity to support an unprecedented amount of organizations in one grant cycle. Latina Giving Circle will support eight organizations during this grant cycle with $40,000 in funds! A significant portion of this amount was made possible by Irma Cota, through her designation of Directors Discretionary funds as a Board member of the California Wellness Foundation.
With that, we are incredibly excited to announce the selection of our 2025 LGC Grant Recipients! These organizations rose to the top of our applicant list through their dedication to bridging the challenges in accessing systems and services, allowing immigrant communities to thrive.
This year, San Diego Organizing Project and Todos Somos Migrantes will receive $8,000 grants. Additionally, six more groups will receive $4,000 grants. Those groups include Building Skills Partnership, CSUSM Foundation DREAMer Resource Office, Casa Cornelia Law Center, The Chicano Federation, and Pathways to Citizenship. Due to the nature and sensitivity of this work, not all of our grant recipients are comfortable being recognized publicly. The $4,000 grant will be awarded to six groups total.
